A 39-year-old dental surgeon has died just hours after participating in the marathon in Goa on Sunday. Dr. Mithun Kudalkar, a resident of Bogmalo, had participated in the 32.2 km marathon, which is organized every year on the banks of Zuari River in Chicalim village of South Goa. He is survived by his wife and eight-year-old son. On his Instagram page, he describes himself as an avid half marathoner, cyclist and club badminton player. In the last few years, Dr. Kudalkar has participated in many half marathon, cycling and badminton tournaments and has also shared related posts on social media. . 

His father is Dr. Dnyaneshwar Kudalkar, who was the former Chief Medical Officer of Mormugao Port Trust Hospital. While talking exclusively to Indian Express, his father said that he has no words to say. He was very fit. His day started with some physical activity and training. In recent years, he has participated in many running and cycling events and won medals. 

Keep these things in mind before running

First of all warm up yourself: One should not start running suddenly. This may cause you trouble. Warm up your body before running. Because running suddenly can cause leg injuries and muscle cramps. This can cause injury and pain in the bones. To avoid such a situation, warm up before running. 

Stretching: Recent research shows that stretching is not good for runners. Even normal stretching while sitting can reduce your ability. Stretching affects the signals between muscles and brain. This reduces the strength and power of the muscles.

Eating too much:Do not eat too much before running and jogging. Due to this, the digestive process slows down during running and it is unable to behave normally. Blood flow gets diverted during exercise.

Drinking too much water or not drinking it at all:Drinking one liter of water before running or not drinking it at all is wrong. Take a light sip before running and also keep yourself hydrated.

Not going to the bathroom: Often people do not freshen up before going running or jogging. Don’t go to the toilet. But this can create a worst situation for you. This will also make you feel uncomfortable.
